if the french don t worry about the affairs of their politicians why did mitterand have to wait til he knew he was dying to announce to the french his life long affair as well as the fact he had a daughter born to his mistress. personally i think the apparent lack of concern is more to do with press freedom and the fact the media in france is basically owned by the government.

Taking this at face value, it is this kind of irresponsible hoax that gets the Internet heavily restricted. Something that the French and Italian governments are looking for every excuse to implement. Europe has plenty of troubling issues to get abuzz over.
