nice hearing pete play some scruggs style every now and then in that clip.
something you don't hear too often.

The capo looks like it's on the third or fourth fret... And the song is definitely being sung in the key of A. I'm guessing Pete has tuned to G (but down a whole setp)... The capo on the fourth fret would then put him in the key of A. I think...

One of the weirdest, and most haunting things I've ever heard... Just gorgeous stuff!

Pete himself was the creator of the first long necked banjo and here is playing it well as always. Indeed it seems to be tuned to A Major with the capo on the 4th which would suggest open, it would be tuned to an F chord. The treble string isn't clamped under the capo of course, but that doesn't matter. I know Pete has tuned his twelve string guitar at least a whole tone flat when he plays that instrument. No broken strings is a good thing. Surely, you can hear him tuning it, capo on.

Well, Buffy tunes the bow to A and the song seems to be in the key of A, so Open A would make sense.
It also looks like Pete's using a capo on the 3rd or 4th fret, but I don't really know... hope I helped a little.

This is really awesome. Does anyone happen to know what tuning Pete's banjo is in? I play it in Open G, but I know that's not what this is in.

We have to sing this in choir, much differently though

"Well I know another vers, I could sing a couple more or so,but I think I'd very much like to hear that old mouth bow...."
