This is great! It's so hard to find artists who can sing and play these old Celtic songs. I'm originally from Glengarry Ontario, so I'm sure you understand when I say that these songs remind me so much of home! You have a wonderful voice, very traditional. Keep it up!

This is first verse after the chorus. Song was written for the 1932 Mod by Johnny Bannerman for his friend Mairi from Islay.
1. Thuit mi ann an gaol an raoir
Bha mo chridhe shuas air beinn
Màiri Bhàn ri m' thaobh a' seinn
Tha mi 'dol 'ga pòsadh
steaphris (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
2. 'S ann aig céilidh aig a' Mhòd
Thachair mise ris an òigh'
'S ise choisinn am Bonn Oir
'S tha mi dol 'ga pòsadh
3. Bi mo ghaol do Mhàiri Bhàn
Dìleas, dùrachail gu bràth
Seinnidh sinn d'a chéil' ar gràdh
'S tha mi dol 'ga pòsadh

Very good version. Love it. here are the original words! Learn these and then I'll be really impressed!

Fonn: Mairi's Wedding Séist:
'S i mo ghaol-sa Màiri Bhàn
Màiri bhòidheach sgeul mo dhain
