I too have been saying goodbye to someone I love. My mom has had alzheimers for more than a decade. I have always listened to this song envisioning her spirit leaving this world to be met by her savior who would give her a new mind and body. May my mom enjoy your sister's performance.

Gabriel's Oboe moved my sister to learn oboe with hopes of playing this piece. During first recital was struck by a brain aneurysm and died within hours. After donating organs to save others, I believe she plays this with God's choir. Thanks you for such a beautiful, Heaven inspired piece.

Me alegro mucho de escuchar a Morricone. Durante algún tiempo estuve tratando de hallar esta pieza musical... pues desde la primera vez que la escuché quede encantado es un verdadero genio y su sensibilidad no tiene limites, oír su música es una dicha, gracias

The gravitas of Morricone's score for The Mission is equal to the message conveyed in the film. If you have seen this film you realize that is a nearly impossible task, yet it is a task that somehow Morricone accomplishes. There is only one word to describe him: Genius.
