I agree with George and his Sandy Saddler/ Willie Pep example. Merchant has a point too about speed intimidating. Telesco is the loser for letting it stop him.

mercante should stfu. let em talk, makes it more interesting than another jones show. larry merchant doesn't fight and i don't often agree with him but he just owned george, who should know better. 'attack' is easier said than done, and if it was that simple, gridiron players would rule boxing. george is a terrible commentator. ironically, jones is the best boxer-commentator i've heard.

i wanna see roy give empty the tank against calzaghe, even if he loses people will appreciate the fact that he gave his all. i agree with seanboweny some of those guys were basuda, it's plenty of names that could go in their places. benn, mcclellan, calzaghe, norris, etc. but sometimes money and shady shit gets in the way.

PBF has short changed himself in the same way aswell IMO he has built his record on solid wins rather than spectacular wins ODLH is the best man he has faced that says it all TBH the guy was 34 and had lost 4,5 fights

Jones was a great fighter but i always feel cheated we did not see the best of him against top calibre oposition the likes of Brannon,Hall,Frazier,Telesco,Lucas,Kelly ,should not have been in the same ring
