first heard her singing silver threads and golden needles in 61, followed her and finally saw her in southport england with vernon oxford, the theatre wasnt full but wanda called all the audience to the front and put on a great show.

I grew up with this song. My mom had this LP from the early 60s titled First of the Famous which had hits by country artists like Tex Williams and Merle Travis. I love it!! Thanks for posting this!

She is still performing. You can catch her show alot in Memphis. I am not sure if she lives there now or what. But girl has still got it!!
